That is not easy for an average customer. Most customers think if they buy something like Honda Pilot, Passport, CRV, Civic or Mazda CX-30, CX50 or Subaru Outback, Ascent Or Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, Highlander, many other thinking they are Japanese but they are NOT. They are only handful of Japanese vehicles like Toyota 4Runner, Lexus GX460, etc.. Vin number is an easy indicator for average customer.
My Toyotas and Hondas were all built in the US.
