Shocking Transport Canada Recall 6 Car Brands Across Canada

Transport Canada Recall 6 Top Car Brands Across Canada

Recently, Transport Canada has recalled six different car brands across Canada after safety issue discoveries from several investigations. Affected car brands include Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, Nissan, Harley-Davidson, Fiat Chrysler and Ford.

The recall is being conducted to ensure consumers’ safety and guarantee that the cars being operated in Canada meet the Motor Vehicle Safety Act requirements. The recall is mandatory to rectify any vehicle design, construction or performance deficiency and protect public safety.

Recalls

The Mercedes-Benz GLB Class 2020 and 2021 recall was issued because the vehicle type printed on the compliance label needs to be corrected. Canadian regulations require the vehicle type to be identified on the compliance label. The report states that the vehicle type should be ‘MPV/VTUM’ instead of ‘PC/VT.’

The Tesla recall affected Tesla Model 3 2018 and 2019. According to the recall report, the bolts that attach the front suspension lateral links to the sub-frame on certain vehicles could loosen over time, and the lateral links can separate from the sub-frame. If this happens, there could be sudden changes in wheel alignment and a loss of vehicle stability.

The Nissan model recall is because when the temperature falls below -10° C, if one follows the owner’s manual’s instructions and uses the maximum fan speed, the defroster may not work effectively. As a result, it might not be possible to defrost the windshield.

For the Harley-Davidson Pan American 1250 2021 recall, the seat base could crack near the hand-hold, and if this happens, the hand-hold could detach from the motorcycle.

The Fiat Chrysler recall vehicles are the Light Truck & Van by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The advisory outlined that the high-pressure fuel pump could fail on certain vehicles equipped with a 3.0 L diesel engine. If this happens, you may notice a change in engine performance, a fuel leak, or a malfunction indicator lamp and service electronic throttle control tell-tale may come on,”

Finally, the Ford recall was issued due to a fault in the transmission system. “On certain vehicles, the powertrain control module (PCM) could reset while driving and cause damage to the transmission park system.”

Canada Minister of Transport

The vehicle that raises eyebrows is the Tesla vehicle; it’s a concern for the Canadian transport minister. The minister is uneasy about the high number of Tesla vehicle recalls. The minister said, ” Canadians’ safety is our top priority, and we are closely monitoring this situation.” Tesla has had to recall over 14,000 vehicles in about a year, and the minister is worried that these numbers could increase. Tesla has said that it is committed to safety and is working hard to address the issues that have led to the recalls.

There are a variety of regulations that the Canada Ministry of Transport has in place to ensure the safety of those who use the Canadian transportation system. These regulations cover everything from the design and construction of vehicles to the training and qualifications of those who operate them.

The regulations constantly evolve as new technologies and methods are developed and regularly reviewed and updated to ensure they remain effective. Transport Canada is always working to improve the safety of the transportation system, and the regulations are an important part of that effort.

Conclusion

The Canadian transport regulator has advised consumers to be cautious when using online transportation services. The regulator says that while these services can be convenient, some risks are associated.

Specifically, the regulator is concerned about how some online transportation services operate. For example, some services need adequate insurance coverage and proper safety procedures. As a result, the regulator is urging consumers to be careful when using these services.

The regulator’s advice is a good reminder for us to be careful when using any online service. We should always ensure we understand the risks involved before using any service.

Transport Canada regulations Notes: As of January 1st, 2020, T.C. has implemented new regulations surrounding the use of drones in Canadian airspace. These regulations are designed to ensure the safety of drone operators and the general public and mitigate the potential for privacy breaches. Some key regulations include requiring drone operators to obtain a permit before flying in controlled airspace and a ban on flying drones near airports or populated areas.

Operators must also maintain a line of sight with their drones at all times and are not permitted to fly over people or animals. The new regulations are a welcome addition to the existing drone use rules and will help ensure this growing technology is used safely and responsibly.
