    Stay away from these. In about 4 years, they WILL develop problems. There will NOT be parts available to repair them. This is 100% guaranteed.

  2. As a CR member, I expect better than the lazy explanation that this video provides. You didn’t even mention that what you were showing on screen was a geothermal source heat pump, not a mini split. While geothermal has a huge upfront cost because you have to dig into your yard, mini splits typically do not have that much of an upfront cost over other heating systems. All this is is an air conditioning running in reverse and air source heat pumps can now work very well even in somewhat colder climates.
