2024 Honda Prologue Early Review  | Consumer Reports 1

Honda finally has a mainstream, mass-market electric vehicle for sale. The 2024 Honda Prologue boasts unique styling, straight forward controls, and competitive electric range. But for better or worse, the Prologue is built on GM’s Ultium electric vehicle platform and shares much of its design with the Chevrolet Blazer EV.

I am a big fan of Honda but I may not be a fan of this. I’m looking forward to the full review.

This is ridiculous. Outdated styling. Over priced for a Honda. You can better Acura for that price. Terrible vehicle

You didn’t mention anything about spear wheel?

  5. @FloridaNative59 | June 28, 2024 at 3:12 PM |

    These prices are just ridiculous.

If it had the Pilot gas drive train and was $12000 less, I would buy it

Blazer-Prologue would you buy this GM garbage truck? I think you would not.

This car is everything but Honda. Will be honest, I feel ashamed as a Honda employee that we produce and sell the Prologue. And a quick note to Consumer Reports, just be honest with your thoughts. Don’t sugar coat your reviews with words such as “Range is Ok or the charging speeds are adequate “. A $60k Honda vehicle it shouldn’t offer 150 kWatt charging and it shouldn’t have ok Range. Just say it sucks!

    @ 1:55 . . . plus traditional high sidewall tires.

Wish you would always mention how quiet (or not) the interior driving experience is. Also heated or ventilated seats?

Last time I bought a Chevrolet, the well maintained engine blew up at 30,000 miles, right after the brakes blew up at 20,000 miles. Sorry Honda, you picked a bad partner.

Does this car come with $7,500 USA rebate?

What I like about Honda cars is that they looks same by appearance even though different year. By doing that , user experience is very good.

  14. $57k+ for a rebadged GM ultium with lower grade materials than a $30K Accord. LOL

If this isn’t Honda enough, then I can’t wait to hear how un-Acura the ZDX is…

All official battery statistics are very deceptive. It’s recommended that batteries be charged to 80 percent capacity. You’re not supposed to fast-charge too often. Failure to follow these two rules on a regular basis will diminish battery life. Furthermore, during winter battery range will sharply decrease, as I discovered with my Prius. Oh, and very hot weather is also bad for the battery.

Why not a $30K Honda CR-V vs 50KPrologue? The price difference would be enough to pump gas for almost quarter million miles I would guess. ($3/gal and CRV having 34mpg highway)

I think Edmunds or Car and Driver got 240 miles in there 75 mile an hour range test, which is better than almost every mainstream electric SUV even the model Y long range. Better than the EV six and ionic five, lyric et

I would take cheap, untextured, gray plastic over piano black any day. My 2016 Toyota has a ton of that piano black crap. It is always dirty. I wish this Honda did not have any piano black, not even on the dash. I wonder whether this GM vehicle with a Honda name will suffer from GM’s reliability or lack thereof.
