Great tips! Absolutely hate that soap opera effect!!
I swear some people cannot see the “soap opera” effect. I’ll see it on other people’s TVs and ask about it. It is so distracting to me, but they don’t even notice. And when trying to explain what I am seeing, I have often said, “It’s like you you’re watching a soap opera!!!” I am so excited to know what this effect actually is and that it can be disabled!
@maremacd so it’s like a live video frame rate effect? Higher frame rate simulated from a lower frame rate? It says “frame interpolation” on the settings screen, so that must be exactly what it does.
Motion Smoothing? Wow I didn’t know that existed.

I think you should use whatever settings you prefer because it’s your TV and you’re the one who’s using it. 👍
More interestingly, why would anyone want those features? I just can’t imagine who prefers these settings on

Also get glasses your tv can look as fine as it can but it won’t look as great without glasses 😅
They put DNR in TVs now? lol. I had no idea you should turn sharpness all the way down.
