2021 Kia Seltos Test Results; CR’s Fuel Economy Study Results | Talking Cars #254

2021 Kia Seltos Test Results; Cr’s Fuel Economy Study Results | Talking Cars #254 1

On this week's episode we discuss the results of CR's new survey which asked drivers nationwide what improvements they would desire on their vehicles. We share our full road test results of the all-new 2021 Kia Seltos. We also answer audience questions about whether or not there is a difference in build quality of a specific vehicle model built in different countries, and if drivers are being more reckless because there are fewer drivers on the road.

  1. I’ve seen a rise in bad drivers despite the fewer traffic. driving on the wrong side of the road. cutting in front of moving traffic.

  2. Stop buying big SUV and PICK UP and star buying smaller!

  3. I would only get this Kia in the SX package.
    Good job CR.

  4. Mike mentioned it but it’s pretty clear people just want the vehicles they already own to be more fuel efficient, not that they wish they had really fuel efficient options that don’t exist (like a Prius or electric) because obviously those options exist if you want them.

  5. Maybe the guys should participate in CR’s next razor testing. 😉 Kidding. I too have let the hair/beard go. Great review.

  6. Why is pretending shift a good thing? I thought we are over that phase.

  7. Really appreciate your thoughts on the speeders – I do exactly as you suggest and fortunately have not seen the “weavers” described by Jennifer. Thank you!

  8. More people are taking advantage of light traffic by speeding. I say let them enjoy coz it won’t last.

  9. 13:56 I maintain that car companies are really missing a trick by not making factory easily upgradable infotainment system a product staple. nothing ages a car quite like the infotainment, and allowing customers to upgrade that after purchase would make great business sense. but is one of those things that has to be a very early design decision.

  10. I believe you can USB update the UConnect system.

  11. but they still drive 25 miles with a big pickup carrying 2 bags of groceries

  12. For long interstate highway trips, improved fuel economy translate into longer tank cruising range, especially for family with kids!

  13. Still haven’t eliminated the annoying “ums”.

  14. Stay to the right. Let them go.
    Words of wisdom.

  15. And thank all of you that regularly do the show, and the staff, so we can get our fix every week !

  16. You should have tested the Seltos SX Turbo AWD with the 7 speed dual shift transmission. CVTs suck!

  17. Speeding is a victimless crime until there is a victim.

  18. Using trucks as commuter cars then complaining about mpg is so on brand for America right now.

  19. I would like to see reliability improved on vehicles by GM & Ford. FCA is already a lost cause. The reliability & longetivity of GM & Ford vehicles compared to the same class of vehicles from Toyota & Honda, just don’t measure up. When was the last time ANY Chevy Equinox or Traverse had any longetivity when compared to a Toyota Rav4 Highlander or Honda CRV?

  20. 21:45 as a former TDI Golf and current CX-5 owner, I completely agree.
