2025 Hyundai Sonata Review | Consumer Reports 1

The redesigned 2025 Hyundai Sonata SEL gets a modern new look with sharp, angular styling and a sleek LED light bar that spans the front end, with recessed headlights below. Upgrades to the suspension deliver a noticeably more comfortable ride. The Sonata also boasts a revamped infotainment system and a simplified gear selector—key improvements over the previous model, where both the ride quality and gear shifter were considered weak points.

  1. Great job!

  2. I have 24 SONATA SEL Convenient.
First thing I don’t like is acceleration. I used to drive honda very quick & responding but this cry on the floor.
N line may be the best here or hybrid. Besides that I’m satisfied with a car.

    • Have a 2023 Sonata SEL with the Convenience package (same powertrain as the 2024/25). The acceleration is more than acceptable especially considering I can get 40+ mpg (highway driving) when staying near the speed limit.

It’s nice that someone is making a car with a soft ride. Too many cars today ride way too firm.

  4. The front end like its missing something. 10:15 guess engineers erased it before making the moulds.

Hyundai shot itself in the foot by choosing quantity over reliability. Hopefully they have learned their lesson and this car and others will make the brand (and Kia) desirable again.

  7. thank you. finally they change that stupid cat fish front end. Front digital panel? no thanks. unless you want to keep just under 5 years. Else you are on your owned to get expensive repair.

    Hondai accord

  9. Beautiful design, although it would have been nice to get some better longer shots of the whole body from the side without all the graphics and animations obscuring it, we’re here to see the car not graphics. You can certainly do both, just not solely overlaid together, it kind of defeats the point.
