The ever-popular Toyota 4Runner stays true to its off-road roots with a traditional body-on-frame design, now shared with the redesigned Tacoma pickup and larger Land Cruiser SUV. For 2025, the 4Runner gains easier access, updated controls, and more advanced safety features. Buyers can also choose from 12 trims, including versions with a hybrid powertrain.

I wish Toyota would at least put a manual transmission in this thing. It’s just so… boring, as it sits, for me.
Finally an outlet that actually buys a modest trim to test. People on the internet seem to think this car starts at 55k because they think the trailhunter/trd trim is the base trim and what everyone buys. Nice to see an outlet test a lower trim, even if it takes time to see the full test.
