Acura introduced the ADX as a brand-new addition to its 2025 lineup. While it shares its roots with the Honda HR-V, the ADX steps up with premium touches: refined interior materials, sleek Acura styling, and a livelier engine. It's not a complete reinvention—but it’s definitely a smarter, more stylish take on a popular small SUV.

One might as well get a fully loaded HRV and save $10K as the ADX is not that much faster.
Keith put it best in many parts. It feels more like a higher trim level in the HRV, than an entirely new vehicle. It’s one of the most halfhearted automotive rebadged luxury models in recent memory, and that price is insulting.
I don’t get why you’d get this over a top trim CRV or even HRV. Doesn’t seem to drive much differently or feel special while costing more.
Would rather have a CR-V for the money.
This guy looks like Jack Black!
It also doesn’t have Sirius XM radio nor Home Link garage door opener.
A 1.5 liter engine and a CVT for $41grand? Are we being punked😂😂😂
You didn’t mention anything about the rear air vents and they are, at least for me, a very important reason to get the Acura, instead of Honda, which doesn’t offer the rear air vents at all.
It’s pretty much a HRV touring elite….Honda has not learned the lesson….no wonder Acura sales are down in the US as of the time of this video.
I think the exterior looks fantastic, But they should have just put the Honda Civic Hybrid powertrain in this. It would have been faster, more fuel-efficient, and more reliable….
They also needed to put the jewel eye headlights in this, and yeah lumbar support Omission is ridiculous. Sadly people are going to buy this thing and Acura is not going to be held accountable for just putting this together from their parts bin that is a mishmash of engines, transmissions, and infotainment that have been around for years and years now. Acura needs to do better. This is why Acura is not near top of the class, and while they will never go the way of infiniti because they have Honda they make stupid decisions🎉
And again releasing this model brand new for this year yet the Honda Passport gets a 12.3 inch infotainment system. Ludacris
Soooo……190hp, a CVT, start/stop technology, basic looking interior, based off the HRV….all for $40,000? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
$41k. Just get a CR-V
I am disappointed that I’ve become so cynical about compact or sub-compact luxury (or “premium”) brand cross-over/SUVs that I would be genuinely surprised if one were found to be comparable in quality to the larger models produced by the same brand. I suppose there are customers who want the premium experience, but in a small(er) package, but it has become quite evident that many/most brands use the sub-compact/compact models to compensate for larger models to meet overall brand fuel economy standards (Corporate Average Fuel Economy or CAFE standards), and to sell to consumers who want the more premium badge, but at the lowest possible cost.
It reminds me of the Acura Integra I had. 1988, I think.
It was a sexy body on a Civic, with a very ordinary interior.
This was a really good presentation. Thank you, CR. PS – I am an Acura owner. 🙂
i wouldve thougt it would get more then 27 mpg
Honda is the king of cutting corners-no XM radio-no lumbar-cheapo radio-same interior as the HRV-they should have made this a hybrid.
Suede on the seat 🤮. That’s funny my son has one and his first long drive commented on how comfortable the seats were. His first trip was 12 hours.
What near luxury suv would you cross shop? at $41,000 usd
I always considered Acura a performance brand. The ADX is anything but that. As an Acura owner for 20 yrs. I had waited for something in this style and size. Went to drive it and was disappointed. Wrong powertrain and handling. I have driven Mazdas now and deciding whether it is right for me or continue looking.
