EV Tire Ratings:
Thanks for doing this test I was just about to spend some big doe on michelin’s or hancocks I’m getting my tires from Walmart paying $225 for a set of 4 😊
Fabulous! Science over Bull…
My neighbor has 2 Teslas, he said they go through brakes & tires pretty quickly. Due to weight
brakes don’t ever wear out because of regenerative braking
Should never have to do brakes on an ev, tires I can understand.

EV’s work better with low resistance tires for maximum mileage. Low rolling resistant tires give up grip for mileage.
Why would there need to be EV specific tires? What’s the difference between an EV tire and a low rolling resistance tire? It’s like buying an HDMI cable that says “for LCD displays only” when they work just as well for OLED. Is my gas car going to be suddenly horrible if I put EV tires on it? 😂
Only 5 tires tested? Where are the niche Pilot UHP and General in the ratings table? Weird to not include any Continental and to include the Pilot UHP instead of the more mainstream and available CrossClimate2…Why why why include a Bridgestone and not any other Michelin like even the Primacy which used to be OEM on the Model 3? Nobody that reads CR would ever consider Bridgestone lol! And test treadwear on gas-powered Mustangs? That’s the one test that should have been performed on the Model 3 or any other EV! See how they handle the torque!
Yeah I bought the cheapest from tire rack for my ioniq 6 and noticed no difference in performance or range.
