The redesigned Nissan Kicks has grown up. For 2025, it's larger, more powerful, and for the first time, offered with all-wheel drive. It also comes equipped with standard active safety and driver assistance features, adding to its value and versatility.

I know this is a kicks review, but I don’t trust consumer reports when it comes to Nissan anymore. They give the Pathfinder a low score which is completely illogical. They only have two years of data, 2017 and 2023, 2017 had a completely different engine with a CVT. The new GEN Pathfinder is completely reliable.
Not particularly. On Edmonds a lot of people have complaints about the new Pathfinder
The complaints are minor and typically happen when owners don’t perform normal maintenance.
People complain about all kinds of things. Mine has had zero major issues. 😂
About $10k too much
$27,00 for a Made in Mexico Sub compact entry level SUV, it’ll break down in a year or two.
The plain steering wheel is the best part. I don’t care for the current trend toward mid-century Scandinavian design on the dashboard and seat fabrics.
Get a 1 year low miles used better SUV for same money
A shame they are so unreliable
Well they seemed to get the cheap part right. I’ll be curious about what the 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid brings to the table in subcompact SUV choices when that comes out.
Good concise review Mike. Could you give us REAL WORLD MPG please? Thanks.
Fascinatingly plain steering wheel, but for $30, throw on a cover and personalize your “econo” ride. (27k is twice too much)
I noticed the “AWD” on the back. Is it full time or can you switch off one axle when it’s not winter?
Thanks, as always to the whole CR crew (CRew? anyway…) no-punches-pulled reviews. Smoothing sailing!
The ‘old Kicks’ is still being sold after being rebadged as Kicks Play. Neither Kicks, or any Nissan for that matter, would be a recommended buy in my book until Nissan gets rid of their crappy CVTs.
3:28 He painted his fingernails black after he made the rest of this video. Nice.
