  1. As a BMW lover, doesn’t surprise me one bit to see BMW missing stuff that should be standard. We bought a used 2017 X3 a while ago and it has wireless CarPlay, 12 way power sets for both sides, but no backup camera or active safety gear of any sort. For reference, you could get a backup camera standard on a 18k Honda fit then and active safety gear on a top trim Honda accord then. Yeah, BMW really makes you pay extra for that stuff.

  2. Excellent excellent review satisfying to see someone really state the truth about a car. Most of what he mentioned from the center screen to the ride to the hesitation or dealbreaker for me and why I won’t buy my eighth mini countryman, which is on the same chassis and engine transmission. Why they went to a dual clutch when they had one of the best eight speed automatics even over the Porsche that I have is beyond me. Totally made a deal breaking Car out of the front wheel drive one, two and Mini Cooper’s.

Why do these manufacturers keep making the controls more complicated? When we purchased a vehicle 2 years ago, we didn’t even test drive any that didn’t have buttons and knobs for the basic controls. Complication = Dangerous
