    Another consideration: as I understand it, if you’re retired (not uncommon among this vehicle’s customer demographic), you may not have much income against which to apply the tax credits. Which may negate their benefit. I may be wrong. I often am. I’m overdue for a mid-cycle refresh myself.

    This doesn’t make as much sense when there are full EV SUVs that cost less like the Ioniq 5

    good summary. As a long time Toyota person, I just can’t go for Lexus (I can afford) because the goofy stuff they do like the track pad and now the door operation and no buttons for climate and goofy steering wheel controls.. The value just isn’t there for me.
